How We Deliver Impact

ACCF’s work is built on two interconnected pillars – Community and Conservation – supported by cross-cutting themes that strengthen impact across every landscape. Together, they align people, ecosystems, and sustainable finance to deliver lasting conservation outcomes.

Community Kids

Community

By placing people at the heart of conservation we, and our project partners, ensure communities benefit directly, equitably and sustainably.

Environmental Education & Youth Development

Building conservation awareness, skills, and leadership among young people through programmes that connect environmental stewardship with long-term opportunity and local ownership.

  • Grumeti: Environmental Education Center
  • Karingani: South African College for Tourism bursary scheme for communities neighbouring Karingani
  • Malilangwe: Chingele children’s home for orphaned and vulnerable children
  • Rwanda: Conservation education connected to tourism awareness

Livelihoods & Economic Resilience

Supporting diversified, conservation-linked livelihoods that reduce pressure on natural resources while strengthening household resilience through enterprise development, vocational training, and sustainable economic opportunities.

  • Grumeti: UPLIFT (Unlocking Prosperous Livelihoods for Tomorrow)
  • Karingani: Job creation through eco-tourism development
  • Malilangwe: Makhosiya Garden Project and Fish Farm

Health & Wellbeing

Health & Wellness Kids Champs

Improving access to essential services, including healthcare, water, sanitation, and infrastructure, strengthening wellbeing and building the social foundations required for effective, long-term conservation.

Climate Resilience

Climate resilience management

Supporting communities to adapt to climate change through nature-based solutions, sustainable land-use practices, and resilience planning that protects both livelihoods and ecosystems.

  • Karingani: Climate-resilient livelihoods and land-use approaches
  • Grumeti: Landscape-scale ecosystem resilience
  • Rwanda: Forest protection supporting watershed stability
Conservation of wildlife on the Serengeti

Conservation

Our projects partners protect, restore and connect Africa’s most important ecosystems through integrated, landscape-scale conservation. Here are examples of their field projects.

Biodiversity & Species Recovery
