Karibu Africa

The devastating economic impact of Covid-19 on jobs and livelihoods within the conservation and tourism sectors across Africa has made ACCF and Tusk’s work even more urgent. The community and conservation projects we support provide not just protection for Africa’s wildlife but contribute to the livelihoods, education, and improved well-being of hundreds of thousands of people too. Our aim is to support the livelihoods of poor communities living alongside wildlife, mitigating the impact of the pandemic, and human-wildlife conflict, while also using our programs to highlight how crucial it is to preserve the natural world.

KARIBU AFRICA CAMPAIGN

We are excited to invite donors and companies to support the joint community upliftment, education, and wildlife conservation work of the African Community Conservation Foundation (ACCF) and Tusk by joining us as a supporter of the ‘Karibu Africa’ campaign. Your support will make a transformational difference in our collective impact programs in Africa!

ABOUT ACCF

The African Community & Conservation Foundation (ACCF) identified the need for a gateway platform to connect people all over the world with the strategic and sustainable community and conservation programs underway in Africa. ACCF was founded in 2018 and is a United States public charity exempt from Federal Income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. Our founding project with the Grumeti Fund, located in the western corridor of the Serengeti, has paved the way to expand and grow our impact across Africa. The latest ACCF expansion projects include Karingani in Mozambique, the Rwanda Project – Volcanoes National Park, and The Malilangwe Trust in Zimbabwe.

ABOUT TUSK

For more than three decades, Tusk has supported innovative conservation action in Africa. Under the Royal Patronage of HRH Prince William, the charity has raised over $130m for conservation and community livelihoods programs. Across the plains of the Serengeti, through the arid deserts of Namibia to the rainforests of the Congo Basin, Tusk works for a future in which people and wildlife can thrive, and where those who safeguard Africa’s natural heritage are valued and celebrated. The charity amplifies the work of more than 50 pioneering initiatives, increasing vital protection for over 70 million hectares of land and more than 40 threatened species. In the US, Tusk has partnered with ACCF, a like-minded community, and conservation organization with which Tusk is proud to co-fund projects such as The Malilangwe Trust in Zimbabwe and Karingani in Mozambique.
